FDEP Releases Draft 2010 Water Quality Report
The Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection announced the availability of the DRAFT 2010 Integrated Water Quality Assessment 305(b) Report for review. This report provides an overview of Florida’s surface water and ground water quality and trends as of 2010. Integrated Reports must be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency every two years by every state, and using the information provided in the reports, the EPA provides Congress with a broad-scale national inventory of water quality conditions and develops priorities for future federal actions to protect and restore aquatic resources.
Comments on the report should be submitted to Shel McGuire no later than July 16th, 2010. Previous reports are available from the Watershed Assessment webpage
