Central Region Recreational Public Meeting to be held May 5

Outdoor recreation and restoration projects in central Florida will be discussed May 5 during the St. Johns River Water Management District's Central Region Recreational Public Meeting.
The 6 p.m. meeting will be held at the Enchanted Forest Nature Sanctuary, 444 Columbia Blvd. (State Road 405), Titusville.
District staff members will provide updates on recreation, land management and land acquisition activities in northeast Florida. The public will have an opportunity to comment on recreational issues involving District lands.
Recreational meetings offer the central region group a forum to provide recommendations on public use issues related to District lands in all or parts of Marion, Lake, Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard counties.
The District buys land to provide flood protection, protect water supplies, and restore and preserve water bodies. Public land also maintains wildlife habitats and provides compatible recreational opportunities for the public
