PALATKA – The St. Johns River Water Management District will hold two public meetings to provide information and receive comments on the District's proposed Minimum Flows and Levels (MFLs) Priority List and Schedule for the establishment of MFLs.

The Oct. 14, 2015, meeting will be held at 10 a.m. at the Northeast Florida Regional Council, 6850 Belfort Oaks Place, Jacksonville. The Oct. 16 meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the District's Maitland Service Center, 601 South Lake Destiny Road, 2nd floor, Econ and Wekiva rooms, Maitland.

MFLs are the water levels and/or flows set by the District's Governing Board for surface water and groundwater to ensure that withdrawals will not cause significant harm to the water resources or ecology of an area. This meeting is an opportunity for local governments, community stakeholder groups and the public to provide input on the proposed priority list and schedule.

Public comment on the priority water body list and schedule will be accepted at the meeting.
