Seminole County prepares for Tropical Storm Dorian
Sandbag operations will begin on August 28th
SEMINOLE COUNTY - The Seminole County Office of Emergency Management is activated in anticipation of impacts from Dorian.
SANDBAGS:
Seminole County will open sandbag operations for residents beginning at noon on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Boombah Seminole County Sports Complex. Additional locations will be open on Thursday, if needed. Residents should bring their own shovels and plan to fill their own bags.
Instructional videos on filling and using sandbags, along with traffic patterns for sandbag locations have been made available at www.seminolecountyfl.gov/sandbags.

HOME PREPAREDNESS:
Residents should have a list of helpful phone numbers gathered for utility providers http://www.prepareseminole.org and know their account numbers in anticipation of loss of power or service.
Any items that could become projectiles should be secured.

FOR GATED COMMUNITIES:
To expedite debris removal in gated communities following the storm, all homeowners associations and gated communities should ensure updated Right of Entry forms have been executed by appropriate HOA officers or designees.
